It's a dangerous business, Frodo, going out your door.

Instagram Photo: A Tailor Birds kind of afternoon

21 August ’15

On our first jaunt into the city of Limerick, Dennis and I visited what was the Milk Market, a place where food and craft vendors gather under a large tent in the middle of the city to sell their goods on Saturdays.

Most of the vendors had packed up and gone by the time we got there, but there were still several food and coffee vendors, as well as customers sitting at picnic tables. Dennis and I grabbed some coffee and hung out for a while with the rest of the small crowd, enjoying the live music being performed by a woman with a violin, ethereal vocal skills, a looping pedal, and several odds and ends she was using to create various sounds in her music (wind-up teeth being just one creative item).

We didn’t stay long, but I was captivated by the music and later that night did a quick Google search. Because the Milk Market is so well known and it’s artists get a decent amount of PR, finding the name of the band wasn’t hard at all.

Check out their Facebook page to learn more.

What does the towel in the photo have to do with all this? Nothing, really. I was just listening to Tailor Birds while watching my wet towel drying in the cool Irish breeze one afternoon, and it was so peaceful that I decided to share it on Instagram. And now, on this blog.
