Drayke's Travels

It's a dangerous business, Frodo, going out your door.

Photos: Blarney Castle

19 August ’15

After Mallow Castle, we continued on to Cork and saw Blarney Castle. I’ll have a post after this one with the things we saw besides the castle.

It was especially interesting to me that this castle has been a tourist attraction for longer than most buildings in the US have been standing.

We climbed to the top in a long queue to kiss the Blarney Stone, stopping along the way to photograph the chambers and halls along the way.

We opted not to kiss the stone, it was quite enough for me to be that high up without leaning over a drop, whether its protected by bars or not.
